2:04am in the morning.
You toss and turn on your bed. You cannot sleep. Your stress level is just too high. You can’t beat that loneliness.
But no, don’t do that.

2:37am.
You finally give in. You get up, turn on your computer, and you go back to that porn site. A few clicks later the video begins to stream. You masturbate to the screen. Or to that innocent girl in the video.

2:49am.
Shutting down your computer, you go back to sleep. Finally you feel sleepy. But now you cannot stop hating yourself. How many times have you promised God not to watch porn and masturbate? And this is already the nth time that you fail to keep your promise.
You feel defeated. You feel hypocritic. You feel dirty. You feel trapped. You feel helpless. You feel hopeless.

There is help. and there is always hope.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! (2Corinthians 5:17)

使者的核心使命是門徒訓練。我們定意要教導年青人一生作主門徒。我們的方法是透過與年青人同行，以生命影響生命。但同時，使者也必作教會的同行者。
使者作為一個parachurch機構，其字詞原來的意義正是在於與教會並肩同行，以我們在年青人當中的獨特經驗支援教會在青年事工發展上的需要。我們深明地方堂會往往資源有限，未必有專責處理青年事工的同工，甚至連青年團契導師也難尋。偏偏，青年事工卻是需要投放極多人力資源的；負責者更要不斷追趕年青人變化多端的潮流文化，才能幫助他們將信仰與生活整合，建立他們的生命。人手及資源上的缺乏，導致參與領導事奉的同工和義工疲備不堪。
使者累積了過去三十五年的經驗，是青年事工的一個重要知識資源。我們極願意服務地方堂會，協助他們發展教會的青年事工，讓神的國度得以後繼有人。
我們可以以下方法支援教會的青年事工：

團契導師及職員訓練
過去三屆的團契導師及職員訓練課程，共有來自16間教會，27個團契的超過200團契導師及職員參加，反應熱烈。大部份學員都認為這本於聖經，並配合時代現況的課程確實能夠幫助他們重整團契事工的策略，帶來事工的更新。本課程除了課堂之外，還包括兩次的顧問式協談，幫助參加的團契分析現況，並將觀念落實到實際運作的層面，非常實用。今年的團契導師及職員訓練將會於秋季舉行。

與教會合作外展活動
使者旗下的《使者學生中心》是本地唯一專門為華人學生及家長提供升學及學業輔導的非牟利機構。我們每年服務的學生及家長（包括粵語，普通話／國語及英語）超過6000人次。升學資訊是新移民非常渴求的，所以升學及學業輔導是很有效接觸新移民家庭的途徑。我們過去曾與地方堂會合作，以我們的經驗協助他們以升學及學業輔導作外展，得到了良好的反應。

《燃點不死火》青年事工研討會
使者目前正進行一項本地粵語教會青年事工概況調查，希望能為教會提供事工發展的重要策略性資料。我們將於今年4月29日舉行《燃點不死火》青年事工研討會，屆時除了會公佈調查報告外，還會舉行各個與青年事工相關的專題講座。

雀躍體驗Jubilization門訓敬拜
Jubilization是使者最受年青人歡迎的的聚會之一。嚴謹的製作，讓年青人在當中透過音樂，戲劇，聽道及其他經驗，得著門徒訓練及福音的信息。我們今年的主題是《蓄勢》，主要鼓勵年青人在活在屬靈爭戰當中的時候，要打好屬靈操練的根基，才能站立得住。
今年開始，我們歡迎教會青年團契整團參加Jubilization，我們並會在有需要時提供協調，讓Jubilization的內容能融入團契的整體教導中。

霹啪959 Coffee House
許多團契都喜歡以Coffee House接觸新朋友。霹啪959 Coffee House除了是我們直接接觸霹啪959聽眾的媒介外，更是向青年團契示範如何籌辦Coffee House的訓練機會。我們歡迎青年團契派員觀摩，或參與實習，我們會將我們的經驗傾囊相授。
我們也會應不同教會的邀請，到教會或在使者的RoomC舉辦Coffee House。

主講各類聚會
使者同工們會不時應教會或團契之邀，主領不同類形的聚會，包括團契週會，佈道會，主日崇拜，青年主日，生活營，福音營，夏令會等等。

2008年信息主題：歷煉荊途 Glory in the Thorns

我知道不只是我多心。

在最近的半年，每一次與人談天，總是嗅到那濃濃的憂鬱味道。好奇的我細問之下，往往便是翻開了他生命裡痛苦的一頁。每一個故事都不同，但每一個故事都是那樣的痛。我不能忘記姊妹那淡淡然訴說著自家的痛卻仿似麻木的聲音，也不能忘記緊握著弟兄的手，在嗚咽中吐出一字一字艱難的禱告。我不禁問，怎麼忽然間彷彿每個人都步進了生命的黑暗幽谷?

我知道不只是我多心。這也不是偶然巧合的事。

去年我們的教導主題是「蓄勢」，講到的是在種種的屬靈爭戰中要如何緊守崗位，在屬靈的操練上下苦功，才能站立得穩。我們要留心，我們其實是生活在一場看不見的爭戰當中，撒但無時無刻不在爭奪我們的敬拜，用各種各樣的手段去迷惑我們。而隨著耶穌基督再來的日子越來越近，撒但知道自己時日無多，所以越發奮力反撲。是以，我們經歷的黑暗，必然是越來越多；路，必然是越來越難行。

這其實應該不算是意外。如果我們的生命是一場爭戰，那麼在戰場上的生活必然不會是平順的。主耶穌呼召我們，原不是走闊路平路，而是窄路。我們常常有一個錯覺，以為信耶穌就必得平安喜樂，是以蒙福的生命就必然是平順安穩的。不錯，信耶穌的確是叫人有平安喜樂，但這平安喜樂，卻是在種種的苦難當中經歷的。主耶穌論到自己將要在十字架上受的苦時說：「我將這些事告訴你們，是要叫你們在我裡面有平安。在世上，你們有苦難；但你們可以放心，我已經勝了世界。」(約翰福音16:33)基督尚且受苦，我們這真正跟隨基督的人，又怎能期望無痛的生命?

荊棘是生命中不能避免的事，問題只差我們如何看待荊棘。有人覺得這途上的荊棘就如芒刺，叫人痛苦不堪，恨不得除之而後快；又或因此怨天尤人，自憐自怨，生命就裹足停止在荊途之前。但這荊棘雖如芒刺，卻是我主耶穌基督的冠冕，是叫我們得著歷煉，叫生命前進、成長、深化的不二之途。聖經中從挪亞，到亞伯拉罕，到雅各，到約瑟，到摩西，到大衛，到以利亞，到耶利米，到耶穌基督，莫不是歷煉荊途的故事。

人生的苦是必然的，只是這荊棘是芒刺還是冠冕，卻是我們可以為自己作的選擇。這選擇本身就是一場爭戰。

就如使徒彼得的一生。這位相傳被倒釘十字架，初期教會的領袖，在他晚年的時候這樣勉勵後來的信徒：「務要謹守，儆醒。因為你們的仇敵魔鬼，如同吼叫的獅子，遍地遊行，尋找可吞吃的人。你們要用堅固的信心抵擋他，因為知道你們在世上的眾弟兄也是經歷這樣的苦難。那賜諸般恩典的神曾在基督裡召你們，得享他永遠的榮耀，等你們暫受苦難之後，必要親自成全你們，堅固你們，賜力量給你們。」(彼得前書5:8-10)這勸勉，彷彿就是彼得自己一生的寫照。

福音書記載了這小小的一幕：耶穌問門徒是否知道到底祂自己是誰。彼得堅定的回答，你是基督。但彼得沒有想過，基督通向榮耀的道路是一條荊途。是以，當耶穌向門徒揭示自己將要上十字架的時候，彼得出言阻止。耶穌的譴責是嚴厲的，直斥彼得為撒旦。這個小故事，就預顯了彼得一生的掙扎：要選擇擁抱荊棘，還是逃避。

彼得在雞叫前三次不認主，又在主死後放棄使命回到加利利打魚；但是是主的恩召，讓他又再一次回到窄路上。他在公會中為信仰申辯，逆流而旅；卻也曾為迎合人而作假，放下堅持。他面對的荊棘，有的是艱難的環境，也有的是自己的軟弱。彼得的生命，就像是許多大大小小的爭戰：有的會贏，有的會輸；而就在荊途上一步一步向前走的時候，彼得的生命，慢慢的被變成完全。屬靈的深度，就是這樣一點一敵的累積回來。

這就是豐盛的生命。豐盛的生命，不可能是在安逸中無風無浪，也不會是在荊途上怨天尤人，因為生命就是一場爭戰。而爭戰勝利的榮耀，不是在忍受荊棘之後，而是在擁抱荊棘之中找到的。所以不用期望荊途之後的坦途。荊途之後，還是荊途。我們的盼望，不在荊途的完結，而在那與我們同走荊途的主。

【使者】今年會以【歷煉荊途】為題，透過認識彼得的一生，與在荊途上的年青人同行，建立更深厚的入世靈命，蓄勢守中，為主爭戰。

Edmund早年畢業於香港大學電機工程系，並獲英國專業工程師資格。Edmund後來取得 Irish International University 的工程管理科學博士學位，並英國 Oxford School of Management 的商業管理博士學位。Edmund亦擁有丹麥 Knightsbridge University 的榮譽博士學位。
Edmund曾在香港理工大學擔任高級講師。移民後出任本地著名企業的工程部的總監；並在後來創業，成功帶領公司上市。
Edmund和妻子Ruth皆熱心事奉，並任多所基督教機構之董事。在Edmund任職【使者】董事的十二年間，帶領溫哥華【使者】由家庭式運作發展成今日的規模，功不可抹。

蘇偉林先生 Mr. Stephen So

Stephen早年在香港曾任職中學教師，現職傳媒機構營業部。Stephen目前正在 Carey Theological Seminary 攻讀道學碩士學位。
Stephen曾任本拿比華人宣道會長老，現在投身列治文城北宣道會參與開荒植堂事工。
Stephen的太太Jean為音樂教師，曾擔任【雀躍者】的義工多年。

方嘉倫律師 Ms. Kallen Fong

Kallen早年畢業於卑斯大學，並於多倫多大學取得法律學位，現為執業律師。Kallen的專長是仲裁和調停的案件，幫助客戶處理各類糾紛，取得和解。Kallen經常為不同的慈善機構主講法律講座，熱心公益。Kallen亦同時出任本會的義務法律顧問。
Kallen參加聖公會聖約翰桑那斯堂聚會。Kallen的丈夫 Dr. Constant Leung 是一名老人科醫生。

羅瑪莉女士 Ms. Mary Robinson

Mary現職財務管理顧問，持有專業理財規劃師 (Certified Financial Planner) 和特許人壽理財師 (Chartered Life Underwriter) 資格。Mary以其專業知識，為【使者】在財務管理方面作出貢獻。
Mary為溫哥華門諾弟兄會真道堂會友，並積極參與教會的關顧事奉。Mary與丈夫 Kin Man Wong 育有兩名兒子。

陳心田先生 Mr. Wallace Chan

Wallace 畢業於卑斯大學商業系和教育系，並在香港大學取得經濟學碩士學位。Wallace曾於本地擔任中學教師，在港進修期間出任智囊團體香港獅子山學會研究學者。Wallace現職菲沙研究所中華事務統籌，並於加拿大中文電台出任時事節目主持人。
Wallace為西區浸信會創會會友，多年來在教會參與帶領青年團契的事奉。Wallace期望【使者】能夠以聖經的智慧和神的帶領來建立青年的一代。
Wallace和妻子Rosamond育有一名女兒。Rosamond亦曾是【使者】的學生事工幹事。

黃心朗傳道 Pastor Sam Wong

Pastor Sam 早年在卑斯大學商業系畢業，並曾任職金融界多年，持有專業理財規劃師 (Certified Financial Planner) 資格，並為加拿大證券專業學會會員 (Fellow of Canadian Securities Institute)。後來Pastor Sam 蒙神呼召，進入 Carey Theological Seminary 攻讀教牧事工碩士學位；畢業後出任溫哥華華人浸信會傳道人，負責青年事工。
Pastor Sam 期望【使者】能幫助溫哥華的教會去接觸、牧養和栽培一代又一代的基督跟隨者。
Pastor Sam 已婚，妻子為 Florence。

總幹事 Executive Director：
陳基舜先生 Mr. Gabriel Chan

陳基舜先生於 80年代赴加升學，畢業於安省倫敦市西安大學，主修遺傳學，亦在大學年代活躍於校園福音工作。

其後進入「安省神學院」(現天道神學院前身)，獲道學碩士(主修華人事工)。

1993年中加入「加拿大基督使者協會」(AFC Canada)事奉，自2004年起至今出任總幹事一職。

曾任「多倫多華人福音同工團契」佈道組主席，現任「華福加東區委會」主席，及「天道神學院」華人諮議團(Chinese Advisory Council)成員。

陳弟兄已婚，妻子Shirley為註冊社工，育有一子一女，兒子以信(Caleb)、女兒以羚(Andrea)，全家於多倫多華人基督教會(愛正堂)事奉。
Mr. Gabriel Chan is the Executive Director of Ambassadors For Christ In Canada.
Gabriel graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a degree in Genetics and he was actively involved in on-campus ministry. He then continued his study in the Ontario Theological Seminary (now known as the Tyndale University College & Seminary) and obtained his Master Degree of Divinity. Gabriel joined AFC Canada in 1993 and has been leading the staff team as the Executive Director since 2004.
Gabriel now serves also as the District Committee Chairman of Eastern Canada Chinese Coordination of World Evangelism, and as a member of the Chinese Advisory Council of Tyndale University College & Seminary. He was also the chairman of Evangelism Committee of the Toronto Chinese Evangelical Ministerial Fellowship.
Gabriel's wife, Shirley, is a registered social worker. Gabriel and Shirley have a son, Caleb, and a daughter, Andrea. Gabriel and his family are all serving in Toronto Chinese Community Church (Agincourt Church).

溫哥華事工總監 Regional Director (Vancouver)：
余子麟博士 Dr. Alan Yu

Dr. Alan Yu 余子麟博士，加拿大基督使者協會 (Ambassadors For Christ In Canada) 溫哥華事工總監 (Regional Director – Vancouver)，帶領溫哥華使者一眾同工，以創新的事工模式，推動本地學生福音運動，發展學生門徒訓練事工及「使者學生中心」社區服務。

Alan早年隨家人從香港移民加拿大，並畢業於卑斯大學 (University of British Columbia) 土木工程系；後赴美國及丹麥進修，獲建築學碩士。回溫哥華定居後，以工餘時間於維真神學院 (Regent College) 進修，主修市場神學及應用神學，獲基督教研究碩士；並於美國韋伯敬拜研究學院 (Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies) 獲敬拜學博士，研究敬拜與門徒訓練的互動。Alan現於美國福樂神學院 (Fuller Theological Seminary) 修讀教牧學博士課程，研究靈修神學。

Alan於大學期間因參加校園團契 (Chinese Christian Fellowship - CCF) 而信主，並積極參與教會及校園團契的事奉，為90年代興旺的加拿大華人學生福音運動的中堅份子。後來在從事建築專業工作期間，蒙神呼召，遂辭去工作加入使者協會事奉至今。Alan以其創作的經驗，在使者開展多項創新的學生門訓事工，包括廣受歡迎的「霹啪959」廣播及網絡事工，「Jubilization雀躍體驗」門訓敬拜事工和「自煮C房」烹飪事工。

Alan為溫哥華西區浸信會會友。Alan與在大學任職的妻子Constance育有兩名兒子Alpha和Archer。

Dr. Alan Yu, Regional Director (Vancouver) of Ambassadors For Christ in Canada, leads the staff team at AFC Vancouver in mobilizing local evangelical student movement, developing student discipleship training ministry and pioneering community student services through "AFC Student Centre."

Alan immigrated to Canada with his family from Hong Kong in his teenage years, and graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Civil Engineering. He then continued his study in the United States and Denmark and obtained his master degree in Architecture. After returning to Vancouver, Alan studied part-time at Regent College while practicing architecture and received his Master of Christian Studies, majoring in Marketplace Theology and Applied Theology. Alan received his Doctor of Worship Studies at the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies, with his thesis on Worship Discipleship. Alan is currently studying at Fuller Theological Seminary in the Doctor of Ministry program with an emphasis on Spiritual Formation.

Alan came to Christ while in university through the Chinese Christian Fellowship (CCF) on campus. Since then, he has been actively involved in both on-campus and local church ministry, and was one of the leaders in the vibrant Canadian Chinese students revival movement in the 90's. While he was practicing architecture, he was called by the Lord to leave his profession to join the ministry of AFC. With his background in creative work, Alan initiated many innovative student discipleship ministry programs at AFC, including the popular PP959 broadcast and web ministry, Jubilization worship discipleship ministry and the caring ministry through the Cooking Studio at RoomC.

Alan is a member of Westside Baptist Church, Vancouver. Alan and his wife, Constance Wun, have two sons, Alpha and Archer.

學生事工幹事 Student Ministry Associates：
郭穎昌先生 Mr. Wayne Kwok

Mr. Wayne Kwok 郭穎昌先生，加拿大基督使者協會（Ambassadors For Christ In Canada）溫哥華學生事工幹事（Student Ministry Associate - Vancouver），透過營造多元經驗讓年青人體驗信仰與生命的接軌；並以基督信仰作為根基，與學生同步學習如何成為一個終生忠心跟隨耶穌基督的門徒。

Wayne 生於香港，長於溫哥華。畢業於卑斯大學（University of British Columbia），主修城市及經濟地理學。隨後於卑斯科技學院（British Columbia Institute of Technology）深造地理信息系統（Geographic Information System - GIS），並獲科技文憑。現於維真神學院（Regent College）進修神學。

自幼跟父母返教會的Wayne，最大的負擔就是造就那些只有滿腦子聖經故事而從沒有充實信仰生命的基督徒。Wayne於中學期間積極參與教會及校園團契（Chinese Christian Fellowship - CCF）的事奉，為90年代興旺的加拿大華人學生福音運動的中堅份子，帶領列治文數所中學的校園團契事工。 Wayne亦為雀躍者 (Jubilant) 敬拜讚美隊的資深成員，分別參與各種的事奉，包括擔任多媒影音製作者，影音技術指導、首席敬拜者和監製。

Wayne 在找尋 GIS 專業的工作期間，蒙神呼召加入使者協會事奉。他多才多藝的背境幫助他發起設立 Apple iTunes 上其中一個最早及最受歡迎的廣東話基督教播客 (podcast) 「霹啪959」，並擴展雀躍者的敬拜門徒訓練事工。 Wayne 現在亦同時擔任 UBC CCF 和 SFU CCF 的導師。

Mr. Wayne Kwok, Student Ministry Associate of Ambassadors For Christ in Canada, utilizes multi-dimensional experiences to bring dynamics and Christian values in the lives of Youths in Vancouver, struggles and grows with them, and guides them to become life-long disciples of Jesus Christ.

Wayne was born in Hong Kong, but raised in Vancouver. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Urban and Economic Geography. He continued his study in Geographic Information System (GIS) in British Columbia Institute of Technology, earning his Diploma of Technology. Currently Wayne is studying at Regent College for his theological equipping.

Wayne was born into a christian family and has been going to church all his life. Hence he is most passionate about the integration of christian values into individual Christ disciple’s life. In his high school years, Wayne was actively involved in both on-campus and local church ministry. He was one of the leaders in the vibrant Canadian Chinese student revival movement in the 90’s, especially leading high school campus ministry in various Richmond high schools. Wayne has been an age-old member of The Jubilant worship team before becoming an AFC staff, involving in multimedia production, audio/video tech support, stage vocalist, and eventually as lead worshipper and producer.

During his career search as a GIS Specialist, Wayne was called by the Lord to join the ministry of AFC. His multi-talented background helped initiate one of the first and most popular Cantonese Christian podcasts "PP959" on Apple iTunes, and expand AFC’s flagship "Jubilization" worship discipleship ministry. Wayne is now also the counsellor for both UBC CCF and SFU CCF.

毛國寧先生 Mr. Kevin Mo

Kevin Mo 毛國寧先生，加拿大基督使者協會 (Ambassadors For Christ In Canada) 學生服務幹事，幫助學生及家長解答升學及教育方面的問題並協助處理日常行政工作。

Kevin 於香港長大，曾留學於紐西蘭一年，於2003年以國際學生身分入讀加拿大的中學並於 2008年畢業於西門菲沙大學心理系。

Kevin 在中學期間受朋友邀請參加列治文城北宣道會青年團契而信主。後來，在就讀大學期間參加校園團契(Chinese Christian Fellowship - CCF) 並在當中事奉。此外，Kevin亦是［雀躍者］的一員。

Kevin 現為列治文城北宣道會會友，未婚。

Mr. Kevin Mo, Student Services Associate of Ambassadors For Christ in Canada, provides academic counseling to students and parents and helps dealing with day-to-day administrative work.

Kevin grew up in Hong Kong, he has studied in New Zealand for one year. In 2003, he enrolled in a canadian secondary school as an international student. He was graduated from Simon Fraser University with a degree in psychology in 2008.

Kevin believed in Christ after he started to attend North Richmond Chinese Alliance Church’s youth fellowship. Later, he participated in SFU’s Chinese Christian Fellowship (Chinese Christian Fellowship - CCF). In addition, Kevin is also a member of Jubilant.

Kevin is a member of the North Richmond Alliance church, unmarried.

Jodie 畢業於杜格拉斯學院工商管理系, 曾任職報業傳媒機構營業部, 現職使者學生中心學生服務及行政幹事.

Jodie為慕迪港頌恩堂會友, 並積極參與教會音樂及團契事奉, 例如: 教會詩班, 祟拜領詩, 及曾擔任團契團長, 職員及組長等等.

Jodie已婚, 丈夫為Alex Chu.

Jodie was graduated from the Business Administration Department of Douglas College and she served in the sales department of a press media. She is currently the Student Services & Administrative Associate of AFC Student Centre.

Jodie has been actively involving in different music and fellowship ministries in church, for example: church choir, worship leading, president and executive member of fellowship, cell group leader, etc.

Jodie and her husband Alex Chu are members of Port Moody Pacific Grace MB Church.

在讀書時有參加教會的學生中，
在畢業後幾年仍然有穩定教會生活的比例：

這個數字對某些人來說可能是意料之外的低，但亦可能你已經一早察覺這趨勢。我們也早看到了。在華人教會內年輕人的數字在過去十多年正在一直的下跌，而最近有一些堂會甚至要被逼結束經營了多年的青年團契。

到底是怎麼一回事呢？有些人歸究於說廣東話的移民人數下跌，儘管滿街仍是操廣東話而又未認識福音的年青人，而基督徒的人口比例又永遠停留在個位數字。其實，我們發覺最大的問題不是沒有說廣東話的學生，更不是沒有人願意參加青年團契和信主，而是年輕信徒的屬靈生命大多膚淺和脫節。他們一方面決志信主，參加教會；但另一方面當他們從簡單的校園進到複雜的世界，面對真實生活的各種挑戰的時候，他們那與生活割裂的膚淺信仰卻並不足以盛載他們，為他們解釋他們掉進的這個新世界。當他們的信仰與生活脫鉤，那就是他們離開教會的時候了。

你甘願見到年青人的「屬靈生命」只不過是這樣子嗎？

加拿大基督使者協會的異象，是透過創新的聚會和個人的接觸服侍教會，幫助學生將基督信仰與生活整合，以致無論未信或已決志的學生，最終都能成為一生跟隨主耶穌基督的門徒。投過建立委身的基督徒學生宣教群體，我們期望將福音轉化生命的信息滲進年青人的文化裡面。

加拿大基督使者協會由始自戴德生牧師的中國內地會已故宣教士徐松齡牧師(Rev. Stephen Knights)於1972年創立；在過去三十多年一直與加拿大的華人學生與教會同行。使者著意進入年青人的文化和生活模式當中，在那裡服侍他們，使他們在生活中與基督相遇。我們在溫哥華三方面的學生事工也是如此。

首先，我們的旗艦「Jubilization雀躍體驗」門訓敬拜聚會就是一例。我們使用年青人熟悉的多媒體和經驗式敬拜程序，將紮實和生活化的聖經教導帶給年青人和學生。我們針對學生生活中最火熱的問題，透過音樂、話劇、講道和其他藝術媒介，挑戰年青人和學生從聖經的角度反省和生活，活出福音。從「Jubilization雀躍體驗」引伸出來的「I.D.Zone整全門徒訓練講座」、「The Jubilant」敬拜讚美隊、「JJ959.com」網上事工和「好讀GoodRead」屬靈閱讀計劃，更深地將整全的教導緊扣在新一代年青人的生命中。

其次，我們廣受歡迎的「霹啪959」電台廣播節目和網上播客(podcast)也是我們整全門訓事工的表表者。在輕鬆和幽默的氣氛裡，每星期日晚11時至12時，我們都在AM1320電台為聽眾演譯和示範一個整全門徒各個層面的生活。「霹啪959」除了是本地其中一個最受歡迎的電台清談節目外，也是在Apple iTunes上其中一個全世界最受歡迎的粵語播客，每週吸引來自世界各地華僑、包括中國內地的下載超過20,000次。

第三方面，使者也將大量資源投放在校園的宣教事工上。我們著力栽培和訓練不同校園團契的領袖，包括UBC和SFU，使他們成為在校園內和將來在職場上的宣教士。許多現在的牧者和教會領袖都曾經在學生年代參加過由使者支持的校園團契事奉，成為他們一生事奉主的轉捩點。

除了以上三方面的事工外，使者也在2000年創辦了溫哥華唯一專門服務新移民學生的非牟利機構「使者學生中心」，透過提供升學輔導和講座、功課輔助、義工計劃、領袖訓練等，幫助新移民學生和家庭面對升學和學業上的困難，裝備他們建立有目標有意義的人生。「使者學生中心」與其他新移民服務機構（例如中僑互助會）合作，每年經轉介或直接接觸超過7000人次，其中絕大部份來自中國內地。「使者學生中心」正好成為向中國內地新移民宣教的重要外展事工接觸點，歷年有不少新移民學生透過「使者學生中心」認識福音，經轉介投入本地教會生活。

使者深願與地方教會配搭，支援堂會在學生事工上的需要。學生和青年事工是一門需要專門經驗和大量資源的事工，而許多堂會在人手、經驗和資源上都或有欠缺。使者正好以我們三十多年的經驗，為堂會在發展學生和青年事工上提供適切的支援，包括領會，訓練和咨詢。如果堂會像家庭醫生，照顧一家的健康，使者就好像青年事工的專科醫生，與家庭醫生配搭，確保基督的身體能健康茁壯地成長。

今日的年青基督徒，明日就會成為教會的領袖。教會承受不起失落一整代的年輕人。只有當年青的基督徒學生願意在生活的每一層面也跟隨主耶穌基督的時候，教會才能長遠地在社會發揮鹽和光的功效。使者的異象，就是一代又一代的加拿大華人學生，都能夠成為終生跟隨耶穌基督的門徒，在教會，在世上忠心事奉，榮耀我們的主。這異象在過去三十多年都沒有改變過，而我們定必繼續委身於這異象。你願意為了下一代與我們一同努力嗎？

This is the percentage of Christian students who had,
and continue to have, a stable church life upon graduation.

This number may come as a surprise to some people, but maybe you have already noticed this trend. We do too. The number of young people in churches is in constant decline over the last 10 years, and in recent years some churches even had to shut down their youth fellowship.

How could this happen? It is not that there are no young people coming to Christ, but that their faith are shallow and disintegrated. As soon as they migrate from the protected campus to the real world and are exposed to real life challenges, their compartmentalized faith will not be sufficient in carrying them through. Faith becomes irrelevant, and they leave their church.

AFC has been working with Chinese students and youths in Canada for 36 years. Through innovative programs and personal mentoring, we help students and youth integrate the Christian faith with their everyday life, so that not only will they lead a successful, meaningful and vibrant life, but also become life-long disciples of Jesus Christ. By building up communities of committed young Christians, we hope to infuse our culture with the transforming messages of the Gospel.

AFC meets students where they are. Our flagship "Jubilization" worship-discipleship program uses a multi-media and experiential approach to present solid and relevant biblical teaching to students and youth with great impact. We pinpoint to the burning life issues our students experience everyday, and through music, drama, preaching and other artistic means challenging them to reflect and live biblically and theologically. Our Integrated Discipleship Seminars, JJ959.com online ministry and GoodRead reading program all help extend the impact of Jubilization into the lives of a generation of young people.

Our popular PP959 radio show and podcast is another example of our integrated discipleship ministry. In a relaxing and humourous atmosphere, every Sunday night at 11pm at AM1320 we demonstrate to our audience the many facets of the life of an integrated disciple. PP959 has always been one of the most popular local Chinese radio programs, as well as one of the most popular Cantonese podcasts listed on Apple's iTunes Store worldwide.

AFC has also invested in campus mission by training and mentoring student leaders of Chinese Christian Fellowships on different university campuses. Many pastors and church leaders today can recall their life-changing and defining experiences serving in campus fellowships led by AFC.

In addition, AFC also established in 2000 "AFC Student Centre", the first local non-profit organization serving specifically the needs of new immigrant students. Through academic advising seminar and consultation, academic assistance, volunteer program and leadership training etc., AFC Student Centre assists students and their families to overcome hurdles in their academic pursuits, as well as empowers them for leading a meaningful and purposeful life. Working closely with many immigrant services agencies, every year AFC Student Centre serves over 7000 count of people, and the majority of them are from mainland China. AFC Student Centre is thus a strategic contact point for local mainland Chinese mission. Many immigrant students have encountered the Gospel through the ministry of AFC Student Centre.

AFC is committed in partnering with local churches to support their youth ministry needs. While student and youth ministry requires specialized knowledge and relies heavily on the abundance of resources, many local churches do not have these available. AFC can provide to local churches their much needed support in developing youth ministry with our 36 years of experience through specialized programmings, trainings and consultations. We can think of local churches as family doctors, tending to everyone's need; and AFC as a specialist in student ministry, working together with the family doctors to ensure the spiritual health and growth of the body of Christ.

Young Christians today will become leaders of the church tomorrow. The Church cannot afford to lose any generation of young people. Only with young Christians who are committed to follow Christ in all areas of their life can the church function as the salt and light of the world with a sustainable future. Our vision is that generations of Chinese students in Canada will become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ, serving the church and the world and bring glory to our Lord. This vision has not changed in the last 36 years, and we will continue to commit our lives to it.

Mr. Alan Yu余子麟先生，加拿大基督使者協會 (Ambassadors For Christ In Canada) 溫哥華事工總監 (Regional Director – Vancouver)，帶領溫哥華使者一眾同工，以創新的事工模式，推動本地學生福音運動，發展學生門徒訓練事工及「使者學生中心」社區服務。

Alan早年隨家人從香港移民加拿大，並畢業於卑斯大學 (University of British Columbia) 土木工程系；後赴美國及丹麥進修，獲建築學碩士。回溫哥華定居後，以工餘時間於維真神學院 (Regent College) 進修，主修市場神學及應用神學，獲基督教研究碩士。Alan現於美國敬拜研究學院 (Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies) 修讀敬拜學博士課程。

Alan於大學期間因參加校園團契 (Chinese Christian Fellowship - CCF) 而信主，並積極參與教會及校園團契的事奉，為90年代興旺的加拿大華人學生福音運動的中堅份子。後來在從事建築專業工作期間，蒙神呼召，遂辭去工作加入使者協會事奉至今。Alan以其創作的經驗，在使者開展多項創新的學生門訓事工，包括廣受歡迎的「霹啪959」廣播及網絡事工，「Jubilization雀躍體驗」門訓敬拜事工和「自煮C房」烹飪事工。

Alan為溫哥華西區浸信會會友。Alan與在大學任職的妻子Constance育有兩名兒子Alpha和Archer。

Mr. Alan Yu, Regional Director (Vancouver) of Ambassadors For Christ in Canada, leads the staff team at AFC Vancouver in mobilizing local evangelical student movement, developing student discipleship training ministry and pioneering community student services through "AFC Student Centre."

Alan immigrated to Canada with his family from Hong Kong in his teenage years, and graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Civil Engineering. He then continued his study in the United States and Denmark and obtained his master degree in Architecture. After returning to Vancouver, Alan studied part-time at Regent College while practicing architecture and received his Master of Christian Studies, majoring in Marketplace Theology and Applied Theology. Alan is currently studying at the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies in the Doctor of Worship Studies program.

Alan came to Christ while in university through the Chinese Christian Fellowship (CCF) on campus. Since then, he has been actively involved in both on-campus and local church ministry, and was one of the leaders in the vibrant Canadian Chinese students revival movement in the 90's. While he was practicing architecture, he was called by the Lord to leave his profession to join the ministry of AFC. With his background in creative work, Alan initiated many innovative student discipleship ministry programs at AFC, including the popular PP959 broadcast and web ministry, Jubilization worship discipleship ministry and the caring ministry through the Cooking Studio at RoomC.

Alan is a member of Westside Baptist Church, Vancouver. Alan and his wife, Constance Wun, have two sons, Alpha and Archer.

AFC Vancouver has always been diligent in our financial management. We are committed to use creative methods in our ministry development in order to keep the cost of ministry as low as possible. The many new ministry programs that we launched recently are either zero-cost or self-sustaining financially. We believe that as donor supported us with their investment in the Kingdom of God, we are responsible to optimize their investments for the greatest return in ministry.

Therefore, our operation has always been aggressively efficient and budget has been kept to the lowest. Currently, while maintaining a staff team of 9 and a broad and expanding ministry, our annual budget for 2008 is only at approximately $260,000.

Because majority of the students that we serve have only limited financial resources, it is our policy to make most of our programs available to students free of charge. In addition, we have not received any funding from the government or social agencies because of the limitations they may impose on us, which will interfere with our Christian ministry. Therefore, we need continuous and generous financial support from donors who agree with our vision and mission. Our God is a God of miracles and He has always provided us through the selfless sacrifice of faithful supporters.

We encourage you to participate in our 「一代夢想」 program and supporting us with a regular monthly automatic debit or credit card donation of $25. This mere $25 a month will provide us with a stable foundation in our finance. To enroll, simply download this enrollment form and send it back to us upon completion. AFC is a registered non-profit organization, and official receipt for tax deduction purpose will be issued to all donation above $10.

Currently, about 20% of our income is from small-amount monthly automatic fund transfer, and about 10% is from local church mission fund support. Please click here to see our financial report for year 2007.

Besides our annual operating budget, we have also accumulated about $130,000 of debt in bank and personal loans resulting from the acquisition of our current office building property in 2000, as well as from previous deficits and cash flow difficulties. Any no-interest loan to us will greatly ease our pressure on interest payment.

* As the government has changed regulation and waive the capital gain taxes on all stock donated to registered non-profit organization, AFC also accepts donation in the form of stock. By donating your stock to AFC you will potentially save much money on capital gain taxes. Please contact us directly with detail.
